Dakota ventured north from Tampa for an EPIC night of bow fishing. Warmed up on exotics and a few bowfin and then went on the hunt for some trophy gar, breaking his personal best 5 times last night with 2 over 50" and a new pb bowfin of over 30". Not everynight can be this perfect but I will sure try!

Tuesday night was one for the record books as Mike and his friends started with bows and ended with gigs, and flat wore out the fish. I cleaned Tilapia until the bags were full and took home 15 myself! I think we got every fish possible except the Brown Hopilo (despite having 30+ chances). The wind has kept me off the Gulf but the fresh water in my area is crystal clear and sheltered.

The wind and drizzle has been hard on fishing this week, but I have enough sheltered spots we made it happen. 100s of shot opportunities and tons of laughter make for a fantastic night! Bow fishing only for these guys but I always have gigs on board if bows arent for you. Alligator viewing is awesome with water so low as well.

Vincent and his awesome family joined me for a bow and gig trip on Lake Hatchineha last week. He shot amazingly and is now in the top 2 best bowfishermen Ive seen yet! Hatch was a dark and windy mess but we got super shallow and found a pile of fish.
